Start your workout today!!  Walk your way to a healthier you!

    New Memberships- The biggest step is walking through the door.  Once you have done that you will be greeted by welcoming staff.  We will tell you exactly where to go and what to do (right down to where to put your shoes) and will check on you periodically to make sure your questions are answered.  It is important to us that you are comfortable with your environment-We want you to keep coming back!!  You will receive full orientation on the equipment as many times as it takes.  You will be set up on the S.L.E.D. system free of charge.  We will help you in every area that we can.

Middle Eastern Dance- Catie Dal Cerro began studying Middle Eastern Dance in 1991, as a student of Tzigane (Barb Albrechtson) in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  As a Liberal Studies graduate of Viterbo University (‘96), Catie has felt honored to attend workshops throughout the years with some of the world’s best dancers including but not limited to Maleeha (Iowa), Mona N’Wal (Madison), Ruby Jazayre (Indiana), Cassandra (Minneapolis), Mahmoud Reda (Egypt) and Mariano Parra (New York).  For the several years she danced with the Sahara Desert Dancers Middle Eastern dance troupe of LaCrosse, Catie enjoyed performing in shows, charity events, and the occasional bellygram.  She still occasionally dances with the troupe.  

Catie has been studying with Sahra Saeeda since July 2008 and she is Journey to Egypt Certified-Levels I & II.  Her dance name is Aliya, which she was given by her foreign coffee shop pals in college as she reminded them of their airline Aliya Air back home, where flights were often late on arrival.  Class will, however, start on time!  She is a very friendly and outgoing person who loves to enjoy life and have fun - the healthy way.  Please come in and join her at River Country Fitness where she will make you feel comfortable and have fun.

Stronger-Leaner-Every Day

We will fill out your workout chart daily for you (no charge).  All you need to do is come in and do it! 

To use the SLED system, ask for a workout chart,  once you perform your workout for the day, you will put your chart in the empty file on the desk so it can be filled in for your next workout.  For more information email or talk to us  about it and we will get you started on this.

INCREASE YOUR WEIGHTS!!

 

It’s the number one thing you can do to keep your body changing, improving, and looking better.  It can be easy to just come in with your workout and weights memorized, run through them quick and go home.  If this is what you do, you are not making progress in toning your body.  If you do the same weights over and over, your body will adapt and STOP changing.  Your body constantly needs to be pushed so it won’t fall into this rut.  Constantly pushing your body makes it stronger and leaner every day!! 

If you really want to change how you look, you need to do this.

Calendar
A listing of all the classes and events for the month.  All classes (except Martial Arts) are included in the membership.  If you aren't a gym member you can still attend for $5.00 per class.  If you are interested in  Kung Fu or Tai Chi, you may attend 1 class to see if it is for you.

Beginner Classes
 Aerobics beginner's class is on  Saturday mornings at 9:15 provided attendance is up.      

 

Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program-It is a group exercise program, (formerly know as PACE, designedSenior Fitness Certification Programs specifically for people with arthritis. It includes specially designed exercises to help increase joint flexibility, range of motion, and maintain muscle strength. It also helps increase overall stamina. Through the recreational and socializing aspects, the program can help reduce pain, stiffness and feelings of isolation and depression. The exercise program provides participants with a fun exercise program that can supplement, but does not replace exercises prescribed by a doctor or therapist.  Instructors have successfully completed the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program Instructor Training Workshop.  Another 8 weeks of classes will begin Jan 27. The cost is $25.00 for 16 classes, if you are new you will need a doctors consent to begin. You only need to fill page 1 out if you turned in a Dr.'s release Dec 2007  Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays 10  am.  Call 284-7010 for more information.
